Walmart is constantly updating their list of stores and distribution centers. This list not only includes the store information, but also which Distribution Centers supply each Walmart store. This can be very useful for your Logistics team, so we have created this article to show Walmart suppliers how to easily pull this information from Retail Link.
But first, let's take a look at the various types of Walmart distribution centers. This is important, since your company might only be fulfilling your orders through a specific type of Distribution Center.
- Regional General Merchandise Distribution Centers (RDC)
- E-commerce Fulfillment Centers
- CenterPoint Distribution Centers
- Specialty Distribution Centers — Pharmacy, Optical Labs, Tires, Returns Processing, and more
- Fashion Distribution Centers
- Sams Club Distribution Centers
- Grocery, and Perishables Food Distribution Centers
- Direct Import (IDC) and Redistribution Centers
The process of getting a current list of Walmart Stores and Distribution Centers is surprisingly easy. There is no need to build a custom query in Decision Support. You simply navigate to the correct page and download the Excel document!
- Login to Retail Link
- Click on Docs in the navigation menu
- In the Filter Docs input field, type Stores. This should narrow down the available documents that match your search criteria.
- You should see a result titled, Store/Club/DC & GLN Lists
- Click on this link and save the Excel document
That's it! The Excel document has several tabs for Stores, Distribution Centers, Sam's Clubs, New Stores, Comp Stores, and more!
